A Birth Announcement!
Beyond Borders is happy to launch a new sister organization called Haiti Partners.
Thanks to faithful support from people like you, and the interest and involvement of new people, Beyond Borders is giving birth. We’re excited! This will increase our impact in Haiti, while staying committed here in the U.S. to our grassroots approach to decision-making in Haiti.
Beyond Borders staff members John Engle and Kent Annan are transitioning into their roles as co-directors of this new organization, based in Florida.
Haiti Partners is focused on “helping Haitians change Haiti” through education and leadership development.

Kids in a children's choir started by Haiti Partners are getting educational experiences, building their self-confidence, and singing for churches and groups around Port-au-Prince.
Haiti Partners’ work is:
- The Circles of Change program, which trains teachers and leaders in approaches that help children and adults discover their potential (see page 3 for more details).
- The Living Words programs, which trains churches and schools around Haiti to use empowering, participatory Bible study and Christian education materials (see page 4 for more details).
- An intensive three-year Capacity Building Program for 40 leaders (primarily educators) from all over Haiti.
- Model schools—four are in development— that are educating hundreds of children and influencing the approach of other schools in each area.
We invite people who support the Circles of Change and Living Words programs (also together called Beyond Borders Florida), along with others who feel led, to now support Haiti Partners. This new organization is another step in our being effective stewards of your generosity— so that through Beyond Borders and Haiti Partners you can continue to make even more of a difference in the lives of people in Haiti. We’ll communicate more details during the coming months to those of you who have already been supporting these specific programs.
