Teacher Training

Beyond provides training for teachers in the literacy centers we directly support and also promotes initiatives that provide training for teachers in other schools and programs we do not directly fund. The training we support emphasizes alternatives to the authoritarian education tradition, alternatives that treat students with respect, that see curiosity a better motivator to learning than coercion, that see education as an act of liberation.
