No Child a Slave Campaign

Online fundraising for Global Neighbors
As many as
250,000 children in Haiti - most of them girls - live in a modern form of slavery called restav├Ęk. You can change this.

Videography: Joe Molieri & Tania Smith, Producer: Thomas McCabe, Narration: Kelli Boyd

In more and more neighborhoods,
our Child Protection Committees are
intervening to save children like 12-year-old Sara, whose story is told in the video above.

But thousands of other enslaved children
 live in neighborhoods without anyone
to defend them or work for their freedom.

That's why we need you.
We need $70,000 to complete our work in
new neighborhoods
in Port-au-Prince.

Half of this - $35,000 - is already
available through a challenge grant
and an anonymous donor.

So every dollar you give or raise
will be doubled,
if we reach our goal by
April 30.

YOU DID IT!  Thanks to 200 individuals, churches, schools and businesses, we were able to raise nearly $87,000*.  THANK YOU!

Where are these 10 neighborhoods?
Funds will allow us to complete the training of about 150 Child Rights Activists in each neighborhood and organize a neighborhood Child Protection Committee.

Partner with one of these neighborhoods and receive a map, photos of the trainers and activists and a progress report.

How do Child Protection Committees take action to protect children?

In each community Child Protection Committees are working to:
  • Stop Child Abuse & Exploitation
  • Challenge Attitudes that Tolerate Child Slavery
  • Act as a Safe Haven for Children who Run Away from Child Slavery
  • Connect Children who Escape Slavery with Police & Child Protective Services

How can I be sure my money is being used well?
