The Need for Living Words

What are the needs that Living Words seeks to meet?
Bible Closed Book: About 60% of Haitians are illiterate. Many are too poor to own Bibles. Too often churches do not work to give full participation to the faithful who are illiterate and who face cultural discrimination (in and out of the church) because they have little or no education.
Lack of Books: With very little printed material in Creole, there is a great need to develop and print quality biblical and theological resources.
Untrained Teachers and Pastors: Good approaches to education are often lacking in churches and schools in
Authoritarian Leaders: There is a need for models of servant leadership in a place where leadership at all levels--in politics, church, and families--tends toward dictatorial.
