At the beginning
of his ministry, Jesus changed water to wine. At the end he lifted up a cup of wine and declared, “This is my blood.” From beginning to end Jesus went about transforming all he touched. Unlike the fabled touch of Midas that turned the flesh of his beloved daughter to lifeless gold, the touch of Jesus turns hard things to flesh. His touch transforms because it is infused with love. Beyond Borders seeks both to be transformed by God’s love and to be an instrument of this transforming love in the world.

Our theme for this newsletter is “Transformation.” We explore both how Beyond Borders is an agent of transformation in Haiti and how God is transforming us through our experience in Haiti.
